Composite fillings
A natural looking alternative - the composite or tooth-coloured filling. Composite resin is a tooth-coloured plastic mixture filled with glass (silicon dioxide) first introduced in the 1960s. Originally only used for front teeth because of their softer nature, modern improvements to their composition make them generically suitable today.
Case Study
The patients 2 front central incisors were worn, decay was present and had old composite fillings. The patient was also concerned with the considerable gap between their 2 front teeth.
On the same day all the decay was removed as well as the old composite fillings. New composite was directly bonded to the teeth, in a layered process , and given a final polish. Giving the patient a more confident smile.
